Federal Type D Kit

Overview:

• For individual workers detached from their main workforce in a remote workplace, or 1-3 workers travelling via small vehicles that are not automobiles, such as snowmobiles or ATVs
• Regulation first aid kit meets regulations required by the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
• Additional first aid supplies and equipment are required for remote workplaces – a workplace for which the ambulance response time is more than two hours. For more information, please refer to Part XVI, Schedule III, Section 16.7(3) on page 169 of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
• Note: if there is a hazard for skin or eye injury from a hazardous substance in the workplace, shower and eyewash facilities shall be provided for immediate use by employees
